Taliban says it's behind explosion at Kabul hotel

The Taliban says it is behind an explosion early Monday morning that rocked a Kabul hotel primarily used by foreign workers.
An Afghan police official confirmed the blast, which caused widespread power outages across the city, but did not say what caused it. Taliban Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said his group detonated a truck bomb outside the Northgate Hotel, and claimed there were numerous casualties, The Associated Press reports. The hotel is a pre-fabricated compound near the Bagram Air Base, and was attacked by militants in July 2013.
