These Teen Choice Awards Looks Prove Pants Can Slay On The Red Carpet

The 2016 Teen Choice Awards had some safe bets, sure. There were copious floral looks, for example. Though, the show also involved some fairly unexpected cameos, like say, a polished pastel romper on Maddie Ziegler. But pants figured into the silhouettes of some of the night's more exciting getups, even when done in head-to-toe black.Jessica Alba, Gina Rodriguez, Laverne Cox, and Keke Palmer all ditched skirts and dresses in favor of full-gams coverage. They weren't the only pants-donning celebs of the night, however. Sofia Carson and Chelsea Kane also followed suit, literally.Don't miss our full roundup of this year's best dressed at the Teen Choice Awards, here. Jessica Alba makes this long-sleeved, wide-legged matching set look so damn good. The top's cropped length, scalloped edges, and mesh shoulder panelling lend some edge (and a bit of sexiness) to the businesswoman and actress' all-black number.Photo: Getty Images. Gina Rodriguez's Le Smoking-esque suit is a departure from what we're used to seeing the Jane The Virgin actress wearing. Designed by Brooklyn-based indie label Cielo, the getup features tapered trousers and an exaggerated bow. Photo: Getty Images. Keke Palmer also opted for a jumpsuit, like Cox. But the style the Scream Queens star chose is a bit flashier. This is thanks to its shiny pewter hue and hybrid neckline (choker and very deep v-neck).Photo: Getty Images. Like what you see?
